This was the first painting I did in this series. It was spring of 2020, and we were all just beginning to realize just how much change we were in for. It was cathartic to process my thoughts on canvas. Visually this painting is based off a photo taken by Melanie Daigle in Fundy National Park, New Brunswick, Canada, but the motion in the sky and clouds building on the horizon held much more meaning for me. I was reminded that the winds of change are always there. But as in this painting, sometimes they clear out the clouds, bringing blue skies and sunshine.
The sides of the canvas are painted, so there's no need for framing, and a wire for hanging is installed. "Change On The Wind" is ready to go on display as soon as it arrives.
