I love it when the sunlight is at an angle (morning and evening) and the beams of light skip across the tops of trees and hills. The strong contrasts guide your eye and make it easy to focus on just what is highlighted, instead of trying take everything in at once. With the information overload that is modern life, so many things clamoring for attention, I find having a focus very restful for my mind :) This painting was inspired by a photo taken by Beverly “Woody” Ham on her farm in the hills of North Carolina.
The sides of the canvas are painted, so there's no need for framing, and a wire for hanging is installed. "Highlights" is ready to go on display as soon as it arrives.
