Spare Moments

Sometimes all you have is a spare moment.  And with all the added uncertainties from the ongoing effects of the pandemic, the "normal" chaos of life felt a bit more turbulent this past year.  Normally when I present a collection of originals, they all come from one idea that gets fleshed out over a number of pieces. 
This collection is different.  Instead of focusing on a single theme, these paintings are the product of ideas grabbed in the moment over the course of 2021.  I suspect this will become a "revolving"collection with new pieces added as I squeeze them into the nooks and crannies of my schedule :)
After all, wonderful things can happen in spare moments!

I am very fortunate to have a stunning view out my studio window :)  This was inspired by a fall day, when the leaves were full of color and the sky was putting on a show.

Studio View is painted on a 9"x12" cold press, heavyweight watercolor paper sheet with hand deckled edges.  It will come in a protective sleeve with backing, ready for you to mat and frame as you wish. 

-Note on shipping and customs.  This is especially important for international buyers!  The shipping you will see at checkout is an estimate made by the shipping program.  Once I package up the painting, I will get the actual shipping rate.  Any additional shipping costs or credits will be billed or refunded once the package size, weight, and shipping location are calculated.  You will be notified of any increase in shipping cost before the item ships :)  Also, please note that customs and other international taxes/fees are not included in the shipping or sales price.

I spent many hours looking out over this marsh in the summer as a kid, and it holds many happy memories.  Recently, I was able to visit it again as an adult, watercolor paints and brushes in hand.  The three "Marsh View" sketches were painted one each morning as I sat on the porch looking out over it again. 

Marsh View 3 is painted on a 6"x9" cold press, heavyweight watercolor paper sheet.  It will come in a protective sleeve with backing, ready for you to mat and frame as you wish.
