Up In The Air

Normally I would say those words bring to mind thoughts of uncertainty, change and suspense.  Especially in 2020!  I don’t know about you but I’ve become fairly well acquainted with those concepts, as well as feelings of being restricted and confined.  In fact, between the lockdowns, quarantines, masks, and other precautions that have been made necessary by COVID-19, I've found myself really longing for some big open skies…

 
So, I decided to paint them!

 

In the process of working on this collection I’ve discovered something.   You know what else is  “up in the air”?  Clouds.  Sunrises.  Sunsets.  And a million combinations of colors and shapes that suggest new beginnings, fresh horizons, freedom and possibilities :)

For this collection I’ve mixed a dozen custom paint colors and gathered inspiring reference photos from generous people around the world.  I hope these paintings will be as much of a breath of fresh air for you as they have been for me.
